Meet the Community

We are from all walks of life--scientists, visual artists, martial artists, university professors, writers, architects, photographers, birdwatchers, and businesspeople. We're from many different parts of the world, from California to the Midwest and Canada. Our hobbies include walking, woodworking, sailing, reading, theater, traveling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, and cooking. We all share a belief that living in a cohousing community that is designed to foster connections is a better life. We want physical spaces that allow neighbors to easily interact with others outside of private homes. We believe that we need to leave a smaller footprint. We can hardly wait to share meals together every week--imagine only having to cook dinner every few weeks, but getting to share a home-cooked meal with friends every few days! In addition to a communal kitchen for residents and their guests, common areas may include a woodshop-makerspace, a bicycle/water sports shed, guest rooms for your visiting friends and family, a firepit, shared garden, a library, and more. What shared spaces would you add?
